This Privacy Policy explains how Jiu's Sharing Station (hereafter "the Site") collects, uses, and protects user information. Using the Site means you agree to this policy.
1. What We Collect
- Visitor data: Browser type, IP address, visited pages, time on page (collected by analytics tools and ad providers for anonymous statistics).
- Cookies: The Site and ad partners may use cookies to improve your experience and show relevant ads.
- Contact information: When you email us, we only use your address to reply.
2. On-Site Analytics (self-hosted, not third-party)
The Site runs a lightweight, self-hosted analytics system that stores data on our own server. This is separate from ad providers and is never shared with any third party. It only records:
- Visited page path, page title, and referrer (e.g. Google/Bing search);
- Browser language, screen size, and device type;
- An anonymous visitor ID generated by your browser;
- Your IP address (used to identify country/region and detect anomalies);
- Browser timezone (used to infer region when other data is missing).
IP handling: IPs are personal information. We only use them to analyze traffic sources and secure the Site β we do not sell or share them. IPs are masked in the analytics dashboard (e.g. 1.2.3.*) and can be fully disabled at any time.
What we deliberately do NOT do: No third-party tracking scripts, no logging of form inputs, no cross-site tracking, no use of data for ad targeting. Data is only used to measure readership and improve content. If you want us to delete your data, contact us.
3. Third-Party Ads (Google AdSense)
The Site uses Google AdSense. Third parties may use cookies and scripts to show relevant ads based on pages you've visited. They may collect non-personal data (IP, browser info) for ad delivery and measurement.
You can manage ad cookies via:
- Google Ad Settings: adssettings.google.com
- Disable third-party cookies in your browser, or install an ad blocker.
- Turn off "Personalized ads" / "Ad personalization" in your OS privacy settings.
4. Data Use
We do not sell personal data. Data is only used to improve the Site, analyze readership, and display ads.
